HCGS Christmas/Holiday Buffet Party

      The HCGS Christmas/Holiday Buffet Brunch Party at Sam Choy's Island Style Seafood Grille and Hapa Bar, on the beach at Hickam Air Force Base was great.   Jim Deutch arranged access to the base and the arrangements at Sam Choy's.  There was not be a regular meeting at Monoa Gardens in December.         Buffet price with iced tea was $33.07 per person, with payment there.
       Members brought Christmas gifts to play the "exchange a gift" game.  It was a lot of fun, with gifts passing through many hands before they had final recipients.

       The location of  Sam Choy's Seafood Grille,  3465 Mamala Bay Dr, Honolulu, HI 96818 was best entered  in a GPS or mapquest.   You must show your military ID or pre-arranged pass from Jim at the guard gate getting onto Hickam.  You might get the idea where it is by finding the red pin "A" below.  On the oceanside of the airport .

The day turned out to be very rainy, with thunder and lightening, especially for those in the Waianae area, out west, trying to make their way to the party.  I'd say the undercarriage of our cars got a good washing.

Twenty two people braved the elements and the secluded location, but it was well worth the effort.
