January 12th was the first society meeting of the New Year. Due to time constraints an exploration of the website Familysearch.org was not done. It will be presented and discussed at a later meeting.

Visitors provided interesting research challenges they had: John Belcher from Australia (heard of our Society from U H Hamilton Library) and Kurt and Fa’a Richter (she is from Tonga) - ( heard about us at Scot Festival 2012) -Kurt and Fa'a decided to became members.
Dues was collected and a new pictorial membership directory, created by Linda Dubee, was distributed to the 2013 members.
Lois Durr gave a biography of her GGGrandfather William G. Pierce b. 1805 in NH and who settled in Defiance co., Ohio in 1833. Her interesting presentation had emphasis on westward migration to Ohio: “Ohio Pioneers – Gateway to the West”.
